The co-production of On the Mountain is another DonArt project, coming to cinemas in October 2025. We made a small investment at the last minute. We want to try collaborating on a feature film and consider future collaborations on others.
Addendum to 01/05/2026: The film Na horách (In the Mountains) has already attracted nearly 140,000 viewers to theaters. The outlook for January is good. We will be showing in around 170 cinemas, maybe more, with some ordering screenings only 14 days in advance. More than a month after its premiere, we are still holding our own in the table of the most-watched films.
Addendum to 12/08/2025: After 11 days in theaters, we have an estimated 65,000 to 70,000 viewers. Not all theaters have reported their results yet, so this is an educated guess, but it should definitely be within this range. We also don't know the results for the premiere week in Slovakia yet. By the end of next week, we would like to exceed 100,000 viewers, including Slovakia, and set out to conquer another milestone. Thank you for your support. And go to the cinema - According to the reactions of the Venture Club audience, they like the film :-)
Addendum to 11/23/2025: Over 9,000 tickets sold for preview screenings. The premiere is on November 27, and in Slovakia on December 4, 2025. Go to the cinema, recommend it to your friends ;-)
Addendum to 11/03/2025: More than 3,500 tickets have already been sold for the upcoming previews. We currently have the best results of all Czech films in the fall and early winter. The initial sales figures are promising.
Addendum to 03/25/2025: The premiere is scheduled for November 27. this year, the grand opening looks like it will be November 18.2025.
The producer company DonArt is known to us from the documentary Dogspiracy, which we co-financed as a co-producer. Currently it only makes feature films, which are easier to plan and have - it seems - safer to estimate economics. So to test the collaboration before a possible larger investment, we agreed on a small co-production input. The film On the Mountain is an adventure comedy, actually already finished. It only touches the last opening minutes in Nepal and goes into cinemas in October 2025. Turnaround is estimated to be within a year (the film has been in the works for a year) and 150,000 viewers are expected... The investment was sold before we could actually offer it across the board. If it proves successful, don't despair, will we do another one with them soon?
