A travel-tech start-up has developed an innovative online platform for travellers that provides information, transport and accommodation according to a recommended itinerary. These unique itineraries contain everything needed to make a trip happen in one "package" for all types of travellers to choose from. The platform is connected to travel service companies (transport, accommodation) and automatically checks availability and price for these services on the selected dates.
The platform connects experienced travellers who share detailed itineraries of their trips, guides accompanying clients on location, along with "amateur" travellers. Travelers develop comprehensive itineraries including transportation, accommodation, car rental, etc., which are available to customers with a single click. In fact, AI will add the best transportation and accommodation to the selected destination and itinerary, no matter where you are travelling from on earth. Everything is automatically translated into foreign languages. With 10,000 registered users in 2020, more than 100,000 from 192 countries are now using the platform to plan, book and share their trips.
The product is: a digital travel diary where travel notes, photos and videos can be shared and saved. A travel marketplace where you can buy airline tickets, accommodation, insurance, transfers, car hire or even public transport in a package. There are currently 3 types of tours on offer: with a guide; with an expat living in the destination and or Alone with an online guide.
Addendum to 0510/2024: the owners have agreed with another investor and it seems they will get 2 million Euro without further conditions - they are tuning the termsheet. (We wanted to tie the valuation to the execution of the plan, seemed too ambitious. The owners were again afraid to provide us with a share and found someone to take the risk). Worldee. The innovative online travel platform can be interesting for everyone not only for travel but also for investment. The young company is looking for funding for further development and we presented it at Venture Club on March 12 at 60. Great project, we like it. The offer is non-public (you can find more details after logging into the club platform), so let's just say: the company has been growing agilely for two years in a row by 400%. By 2030, it wants to be listed or sold and may be the next Czech unicorn. That is to say, the combination of traveler information and itineraries, complemented by the ability to arrange accommodation and transportation, gives a unique product that has been missing on the market so far. But in the end we didn't agree - we wanted to tie the valuation to the execution of the plan. But the owners found someone who gave them the investment without any other conditions.
